The “Baytech” name may be new, but our experience runs deep. Our company traces its roots back to 1946, when it opened its doors under the name Betty Lou Shoe. In 1953, we changed our name to the Percy Hermant Company where we employed a handful of people manufacturing shoe soles and Hula Hoops. A $285,000 expansion in 1957 coincided with a name change to Midland Plastics (later Midland Industries) and diversification into hoses, wall tile and tumblers.

In 1978, our name changed again - to Waltec Plastics. As Waltec we established a second plant in the Midland area in 1989 and broadened our capabilities to include sonic welding, heat staking and chemical bonding processes, as well as chrome plating, custom finishing, painting and complete assembly operations.

With more than 50 years of plastics experience, Baytech Plastics will continue to grow by leveraging the latest technology to produce high quality products at competitive prices.
